How to Use DataTennis on iOS
From screen overview to score recording and adding matches, here are the basics for the iOS app.
About the Screens

Match List: You can view all matches in a list. You can load other matches and view match details (score and stats) for each match.
Input Screen: Enter scores for the selected match.
Stats Screen: Displays stats for the selected match.
Score Recording

Record scores on the "Input" screen.
Tap the winner of the point.
- Tap on the point type.
- If there's a fault, tap "Fault" first, then record the point type.
- For a double fault, tap "Fault" twice.
Changing Settings and Match Format

You can change match formats, player names, and other settings on the settings screen. To access the settings screen:
Settings can be changed even after recording scores, but options such as "1st Server" cannot be modified during a match in progress.

Forehand/Backhand Recording Mode
Select "Forehand/Backhand" in settings to enable forehand/backhand recording mode.
In this mode, points are categorized as forehand or backhand.
For example, selecting "Forehand" after a stroke winner will display "StWf."
Deuce Settings
Supports deuce, no-ad, and semi-ad scoring.
- Deuce: Game is decided after 40-40 with a 2-point difference.
- No-Ad: Game is decided on the next point after 40-40.
- Semi-Ad: Game is decided on the next point after the second 40-40.
Singles and Doubles Mode
You can select singles or doubles mode on the settings screen.
In doubles mode, you can set four player names and the serving order.
- 1st Server: Player B1/B2 pair
- 1st Server B: Player B1
- 1st Server A: Player A2
- Serving order: B1 → A2 → B2 → A1
Match Formats
Available match formats:
- 1/3/5 Set Matches
- 3/4/6/8 Game Matches
- 8 Game Match
- 6 Game 3 Set Match (10-point tiebreak)
- 4 Game 3 Set Match (10-point tiebreak)
- 7/10-point Tiebreak
Adding a New Match

- Tap the "+" button on the match list screen to open the new match settings screen.
- Change the match format and other settings as needed.
- Tap the "Add" button to add a new match.
Loading Other Matches

- Long-press the match you want to load.
- Tap "Load Match Data."
- The loaded match will be displayed in blue.
Stats

On the "Stats" screen, you can review match statistics. Main items are the same as on Android.
- Serve points won
- Point win rate while serving
- Receive points won
- Point win rate while receiving
- Total points won
- Point win rate across all points
- Consecutive points won
- Number of points won in a row
- Consecutive points lost
- Number of points lost in a row
Score List

You can view scores in a list to check the match flow and the details of each point.
